Two Cessna Citation Latitude with UNIFIS 3000 delivered to Japan

Norwegian Special Mission and Sundt Air recently delivered the first two Cessna Citation Latitude aircraft to Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) as part of a contract with Textron Aviation. The aircraft were delivered factory new from Wichita KS and flown straight to NSM/Sundt Air hangar facilities at Oslo/Gardermoen airport. Sundt Group companies has taken care of aircraft operations and modification, design, integration of UNIFIS 3000 as well as EASA certification process.

The advanced UNIFIS 3000 includes the UNICAM camera based positioning system as well as advanced integration to the Garmin 5000 avionics. After successful performance tests carried out in Norway, Sundt Air pilots were able to deliver the aircraft on time at Iruma Air Base just north of Tokyo, despite the ongoing pandemic restrictions. A great milestone that shows Sundt Group Turn-key capabilities for complex Special Mission Systems.

The third aircraft is currently undergoing modification in our hangar and is estimated to be delivered early 2021.
